Step 1- Make sure to close the Groove Music. Double Check please, it can be running in the background.

Step 2- Check with your task manager by right clicking on the task bar > Task Manager >  check all the running programs in the background. Make sure no Groove Music is running in the background.

Step 3- Now open the PowerShell prompt by clicking on Search in task-bar and typing Powershell.

Step 4- Make sure to right click and select Run as Administrator option.

Step 5- A new User Account Control dialog box will prompt up, Click on YES.

Step 6-  Now type ” cd\ ” to enter the home directory. Just heart soothing :).

Step 7- Type the following command

Get-AppxPackage –AllUsers

Step 8- A whole list of programs will show up. Search for Zune Music in the list. Then Copy the Package FullName given in-front of it.

Step 9- Once its copied you have to run the following command to get rid of it. Hit Enter.

remove-AppxPackage  Microsoft.ZuneVideo_10.17042.14211.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

Step 10- Done !

You have finally managed to get rid of Groove from Windows 10. In other Words you have Deleted, Uninstalled or Removed Groove Music from your Windows 10. If the above command doesn’t work you can still have this command.

remove-AppxPackage (Get-AppxPackage –AllUsers|Where{$_.PackageFullName -match “ZuneMusic”}).PackageFullName
